INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY
Mira Glass is a dynamic company in continuous growth that experiments and researches innovative and cutting-edge solutions for the transformation of glass in furniture, interior design, architecture and technological solutions.
In recent years glass has acquired a strong decorative value, thanks to the new processing and decoration possibilities brought by the latest generation of technological instruments.
PRINTING ON GLASS
Mira Glass has always believed and invested in technology for industrial printing on glass.
Our research focuses on combining the quality of digital printing with the technical difficulties of adhesion on glass. The continuous study and experimentation of techniques to overcome this obstacle has led us to excellent results, unique in this field.
We are developing a system dedicated to printing on glass based on the solutions we have studied, in collaboration with manufacturers of industrial printers.
DECORATIONS
We are constantly looking for new techniques and decorative processing sequences, so that glass can increasingly be used as a versatile design element.
Our studies are carried out with great attention both to the aesthetic and decorative characteristics, and to the technical reliability of the product, with stress tests appropriately studied, in order to obtain the best possible technical-aesthetic balance.
MATERIALS
Finding and developing innovative materials to combine with glass is an important aspect of our research.
INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS
We believe that the future of our glass is not limited to the expression of a decoration, but can become design elements capable of interaction.
In collaboration with various companies and industry professionals we are developing dedicated electronic systems to be implemented on our glass for application fields such as home automation.
Just to give some examples we mention:
- the LCD (liquid crystal) glasses that make it possible to transform a traditional transparent window into a controlled darkening wall in a few seconds;
- treatments based on nano molecules to make the glass surface totally water-repellent;
- touch glasses that will replace the physical button, camouflaging with the glass surface.
